{Gower Girls}/Nampa Child Photographer/Melba Child Photographer

The Gowers family photoshoot was two months in the process. I had met Debbie Gowers at a summer picnic and we hit it off instantly. She had talked about needing her families pictures taken. She liked older buildings and out of the ordinary pictures! I was so excited when she asked if I would take her families pictures, that I searched all summer for a place with old and unique buildings. Luckily, we live near an older town with buildings and a gas station I knew Debbie would love. Because Debbie has 5 children, we split her families pictures up into two evenings. The first evening was for her girls. (Debbie had just purchased these cute puple scarves for her girls and thought it would be fun to include them in our pictures.)

Thank you Debbie for giving me the opportunity to take your families pictures!  Your girls were so fun and so willing to please.  Thank you, I hope you enjoy these!

I was given the greatest opportunity to spend the afternoon with this beautiful family.  We had been planning this photoshoot for quite some time and I was so happy to finally see our group efforts come to pass.

The afternoon began taking pictures of this cute little guy by the name of Kyi for his 8th birthday pictures.

But, the afternoon couldn't wouldn't have been the same if we hadn't included his ultra cute little sister Maycee. We spent a good portion of our time helping Maycee find cats. Maycee was full of life and so eager to please, until she got a headache. Poor thing!

As you can see in the above picture, Maycee is either upset or feeling crummy.  Well, she was feeling probably a little bit of both, because after her outfit change, THIS is what she did next.
She fell asleep in a field while her brother was changing into another outfit.  I thought it was a little strange, but knew it was a perfect opportunity to take some dreamy pictures.  She slept for a few minutes, and then sat straight up and started smacking her lips.  I asked her if she was going to throw up, and THAT is what she did.  Bless her heart, she didn't even cry.  And after she was done, THIS is what she gave me:
...the sweetest smile ever! Thankfully her mom had a can of soda in the car which settled her tummy right up!

On a side note, later that evening, I received a text message from Janae, my friend and these two cuties mom.  The text said, "Right after we dropped you off at your home, Maycee threw up all over the car.  She said she loves you!"  Through it all, thank heavens Maycee has kind thoughts of me.

I wish you and your family the best of luck in Texas Janae.  I will miss our waxing appointments (Janae was amazing with waxing and hair!), your sweet smile, and our common love of reality tv.

Thank you Janae and Eric for trusting me with your families pictures, it means so much to me.  I can't wait to see a picture of THESE pictures placed above your fireplace in your new home in Texas!!!

Great to be 8!/LDS baptism invitation pictures/Nampa Family Photographer

In our church, members who are 8 years old or older are given the opportunity to be baptized.  Our sweet friend Kyi was just about to get baptized, so, a "Great to be 8" photo shoot was scheduled.  Kyi was about the greatest model to date.  He didn't need any bribing whatsoever and was so comfortable in front of the camera.  He enjoyed exploring our photo shoot location and in his explorations, he found a ring of keys.  Perfect for one of our pictures!

Kyi, what an example you are to so many people!  You are about to enter some of the greatest years of your life.  Thanks for bringing a smile upon my face.

Some say Kyi resembles the late Heath Ledger?  What do you think?!  Oh, and days before our photo shoot, Kyi lost some teeth.  He was a little shy about showing his gummy gums, BUT, his mom insisted on he smile with his spaces showing!  He could have dentures and a completely bald head and STILL be as cute as ever!  Miss you Janae!

Dribnak Family/Boise Family Photographer/Nampa Family Photographer

Our friendship began 7.5 years ago. My husband and I was her oldest daughter's sunbeam teacher. We got pregnant roughly around the same time, it was her 3rd pregnancy, my 1st, and so we took prenatal yoga. Through the years, we rallied around a friend whose son was born with a heart abnormality (and thankfully his heart has been corrected, healed, and is as healthy as ever), bonded over late night walks, nightly runs to Moxie Java for steamers, apple picking, preschool, and now real elementary school. Our boys are attending the same school, in the same class. Our boys have grown up together, in fact, I have a picture of the two of them snuggling together in an incubater after they were born. I am so grateful for your friendship in my life Alyce. Thank you for being my friend!

Alyce has supported me and had faith in my photography since the beginning. 2 weeks after receiving my first DSLR, I tested out my first family photo shoot on her family. Talk about BRAVE, she was so brave! She keeps coming back for more, and I couldn't be more grateful.

After a day of saving lives and squishing boobs, I came across this location. I am not going to claim it is secret OR even MY SECRET location. Actually, Alyce came across a certain road sign in a picture off a blog, we researched the street sign name, and found the place together. After finding the location, actually squealed a bit in excitement, realizing within one street corner, there were THREE amazing locations within a stones throw of eachother, and scheduled her children's pictures for the following week.

The following week came and went so quickly. I had a long and rather "interesting" day at work, (I had one patient that was totally out of the norm and I must have made an impression on shim because it will be coming back to me next year. Yipee!!!) and was so anxious to go meet the Dribnak kids for our shoot. And, now, you will see why!

Thank you Alyce for having faith in me once again! You are truly a special friend.

Chesley Family/Star Family Photographer/Boise Family Photographer

We have been friends with this family for 10 years. I remember one of the first days they brought their first born home, he, the baby, was already dressed in hunting gear. Seriously! Travis takes great care of my husband Justin when they are out hunting. He even puts up with Justin's snoring!!!

10 years and four children later, they are as happy as ever. They are as cute as ever, and most importantly, they are as sweet as ever!

Thank you Travis and Marie for trusting me with your families pictures. I tell you what, I think this was the quickest, most efficient family shoot to date!!! You were a dream; seriously!

So, sweet sweet Gwenny is the only girl in this clan.  Luckily, she has three brothers who will watch out for her.  She is one special girl, so, basically, I couldn't get enough of her.  And did I mention, this family has KILLER eyes?  EVERY single one of them!

And, just for the record, I made Marie pose for me.  She will probably hate me forever for posting this next picture, but after you see it, you will know WHY I just HAD to post it.  She is a killer hot saucy mama!  Seriously, check her out!!!!  You are one lucky man Travis!
